Sports Mole previews Wednesday's Premier League clash between Everton and West Bromwich Albion at Goodison Park.

Everton will attempt to continue their push for a Champions League position when they welcome an out-of-form West Bromwich Albion side to Goodison Park on Wednesday.

The Toffees are unbeaten in their last five matches in all competitions, but they have failed to score in their last two league matches, with back-to-back goalless draws against Swansea City and Southampton.

They are still within touching distance of the top four, however, with just three points separating them from Tottenham Hotspur. They have lost just once at Goodison Park this season, but five draws from 11 matches have caused them frustration.

West Brom, meanwhile, have failed to win in any of their last five matches in all competitions. However, a strong start to the season has left them in eighth position in the table, four points behind David Moyes's side.

The reverse fixture earlier in the season ended in a 2-0 win for the Baggies, but they lost the last time they travelled to Goodison Park in March 2012. Recent meetings do point to a close encounter, however, with Everton just shading the last five matches with three victories to West Brom's two.

The home side will be without Tony Hibbert through injury, but skipper Phil Neville has shaken off a knock and is expected to return in midfield. West Brom have a virtually fully-fit squad to choose from, but remain without long-term absentee Zoltan Gera.

Recent form:

Everton: WWDDW
West Brom: LDLLD

Possible lineups:

Everton: Howard; Coleman, Jagielka, Distin, Baines; Osman, Neville, Pienaar; Naismith, Fellaini, Jelavic

West Brom: Foster; Jones, Olsson, Ridgewell, McAuley; Yacob, Dorrans, Morrison, Brunt; Lukaku, Odemwingie

Sports Mole says: 2-1
