The agent of Everton forward Samuel Eto'o has said that he is "optimistic" of his client's chances of moving to Sampdoria.
Former Cameroon international Eto'o has been strongly linked with a move to the Serie A outfit in recent weeks, and he was left out of the squad for his club's FA Cup match against West Ham United on Tuesday evening.
"The only uncertainty is the salary, but I am optimistic," Claudio Vigorelli told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
"We will continue working towards coming to Sampdoria."
Eto'o joined the Toffees in the summer on a free transfer from Chelsea and has scored four goals this season.
