Everton have confirmed the arrival of striker Salomon Rondon on a free transfer from Chinese Super League side Dalian Pro.
The Venezuela international reunites with Rafael Benitez following their fruitful spell at Newcastle United, where the striker scored 11 goals in 32 Premier League games during the 2018-19 season.
Rondon followed Benitez to China and bagged 14 goals and seven assists in 28 games across all competitions, and Everton have now announced that the 31-year-old has penned a two-year deal with the option of another 12 months.
Speaking to evertonfc.com, Rondon said: "I'm really glad to be back in the Premier League. It's a competition I enjoyed playing in and where I felt the fans' support in every game.
"Defending the colours of a club with a history as rich as Everton's fills me with pride. I can't wait to pull on the shirt and be reunited with Rafa BenÃtez, a coach who has changed the way I understand the game. I'm really grateful for the faith he's shown in me."
Rondon - who also spent time with West Bromwich Albion - will now seek to build on the 35 Premier League goals he already boasts from his initial spell in England. body check tags ::
