Sports Mole rounds up the latest transfer news and rumours, including Jesper Lindstrom to Everton, Paulo Bernardo to Celtic and Odsonne Edouard's Crystal Palace future.

Everton have reportedly initiated discussions to sign Napoli and Denmark attacker Jesper Lindstrom following his tough start to life in Italy.

The 24-year-old was picked up by the 2022-23 Serie A title winners on the back of a successful spell at Eintracht Frankfurt, with whom he won the 2021-22 Europa League.

Napoli shelled out €30m (£25.8m) to bring Lindstrom to Serie A, but his first season was underwhelming, as he failed to register a single goal or assist in 29 appearances.

The Denmark international only made two starts for the Partenopei in the Italian top flight, and he was overlooked for a place in his country's Euro 2024 squad as a result.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Everton have now opened talks to bring Lindstrom to the Premier League, and the Toffees have made him their new top target despite his struggles in 2023-24.

While the attacker still has four years left to run on his Naples contract, the Italian giants are supposedly open to letting him leave for the right price in the coming weeks.

Celtic 'submit £3.5m bid' for Paulo Bernardo

Further north, Celtic have apparently approached Benfica with a bid for midfielder Paulo Bernardo, who spent the 2023-24 season on loan with Brendan Rodgers's side.

The 22-year-old won a Scottish Premiership and Scottish Cup double during his stint at Parkhead and made 33 appearances in total, contributing four goals and three assists.

Bernardo did not manage to nail down a regular starting spot in Rodgers's side, but Celtic are at risk of losing in-demand midfielder Matt O'Riley and are making contingency plans in case of his departure.

According to the Daily Mail, the Scottish powerhouses have now made their move to sign Bernardo permanently, but they are not intending to fork out the £6m option to buy in his contract.

Instead, Celtic have apparently made an offer of £3.5m plus add-ons for the Portugal youth international, while also offering Benfica a percentage of any future sale.

The Scottish champions are also optimistic of agreeing personal terms with Bernardo, who still has three years left to run on his contract at Benfica, whom he has played 26 times for.

Crystal Palace's Odsonne Edouard 'receives multiple approaches'

From a player Celtic are trying to capture to one whom they have already severed ties with, Crystal Palace striker Odsonne Edouard has reportedly been the subject of multiple transfer approaches.

The former France youth international has failed to live up to the standards he set in Scotland since arriving in the Premier League in the summer of 2021, coming up with 21 goals in 101 matches.

Edouard achieved a personal best of seven top-flight strikes last season, but he was outshone by the resurgent Jean-Philippe Mateta, who thrived under the management of Oliver Glasner.

A separate update from Romano claims that Edouard has a strong chance of leaving Selhurst Park this summer on the back of another mediocre season, and a host of clubs have expressed an interest.

The 26-year-old has supposedly already received three approaches from Serie A and the Premier League, although he is biding his time and will not be rushed into a decision over his next career move.

Edouard - a former Paris Saint-Germain prospect - has now entered the last 12 months of his contract with Palace, who are therefore at risk of losing their £14m man for nothing in 2025.

Kieffer Moore 'completes medical' ahead of Sheffield United move

Finally, Kieffer Moore's time at Bournemouth appears to be nearing its end, as the 31-year-old is apparently set to be announced as Sheffield United's newest recruit.

Moore struggled for minutes under new Cherries boss Andoni Iraola in the first half of the 2023-24 season and joined Ipswich Town on loan for the remainder of the campaign, where he came up with seven goals in 18 Championship matches.

The Welshman's efforts helped the Tractor Boys end their Premier League exile with a second-placed finish behind Leicester City, but he is behind Dominic Solanke and Enes Unal in the Bournemouth attacking pecking order.

According to Football Insider, Moore has now passed a medical and agreed a three-year deal with Sheffield United, and his move to Bramall Lane is therefore 'complete'.

Moore will leave Bournemouth with a record of 10 goals from 46 appearances across all competitions, but he was due to become a free agent at the end of the 2024-25 campaign.

The 31-year-old will move in the opposite direction to fellow striker Daniel Jebbison, who left Sheffield United for the Cherries just a few days ago.
