Everton boss Roberto Martinez has expressed his belief that Ross Barkley's "special talent" will help him succeed for England at the World Cup.
The 20-year-old had a break-out season for the Toffees in the Premier League and, as a result, earned a place in Roy Hodgson's 23-man squad for the tournament in Brazil.
"Ross has been outstanding for Everton and there is no doubt he is a special talent that any manager or coach would love to have," Martinez told reporters.
"Roy Hodgson will know how best to use him and if he gets his chance I am certain he will be ready. Nothing fazes him.
"He is as good a talent as you could wish to have. He has everything, technically and physically. He has the control, strength and composure. All you have to do is give him the environment to fulfil his potential."
Barkley scored seven goals in 38 appearances in all competitions for Everton last season.
