Everton defender Phil Jagielka will reportedly be handed a start in England's World Cup qualification clash with Ukraine on Tuesday.

The 30-year-old has been one of the star performers in the early stages of the Premier League season, but he was expected to lose out to Chelsea defender Gary Cahill.

However, reports on Twitter have claimed that the former Sheffield United defender will be given the nod to start alongside Joleon Lescott in defence.
