Evian TG midfielder Djakaridja Kone has told his teammates that they must improve defensively if they are to beat Lille on Tuesday night.
Les Roses have made an impressive start to Ligue 1 this season, and managed to taste victory at Stade Pierre Mauroy against Les Dogues last term.
However, Kone, who scored in that triumph, feels that Evian must sure up at the back if they are to continue their good run of form.
"It is a good memory for me. We won there 2-1 in March and I scored, although I was also injured," Kone told reporters. "Lille are a very good team, they are dangerous going forward. But we also have a good team.
"We have quality in our squad and if we can solve our defensive problems, we can put together good performances. We concede too many goals. That is not down to the defence but the whole team. But we are working hard and I think at the moment it is going better.
"It's up to us to play well. We have to repeat what we have done since August, but correct our defensive failings."
Evian travel to Lille on Tuesday night.
