Francois Kamano struck twice in the second half to give Bastia a victory over Evian TG which moves them two points clear of the Ligue 1 drop zone.
Bastia almost took the lead on 24 minutes when Floyd Ayite's strike came back off the crossbar.
Instead, it was the hosts who edged in front three minutes before half time when Gilles Sunu rifled home Clarck N'Sikulu's cross from close range.
The Corsicans hit back just before the hour mark when Kamano was allowed space to shoot in the heart of the Evian area, and the Guinean forward found the bottom corner of Benjamin Leroy's net.
N'Sikulu almost restored Evian's lead within moments, but the midfielder fired wide after latching onto Adrien Thomasson's cross.
Bastia wrapped up the points with three minutes left as Kamano met Julian Palmieri's pinpoint delivery with a right-foot shot that Leroy could not keep out.
