Fenerbahce are reportedly closing in on the signing of a versatile player from Juventus.
Since the arrival of Jose Mourinho as manager, the Yellow Canaries have been active in the market as they bid to wrestle the league title off Galatasaray.
Former Manchester United loanee Sofyan Amrabat has recently joined the likes of Allan Saint-Maximin and Youssef En-Nesyri in Turkey.
In recent days, it has been suggested that Antony could also leave Old Trafford for Fenerbahce, only for those reports to have since been played down.
Nevertheless, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the Super Lig outfit are on the brink of adding another experienced international to their squad.
Juventus prepared to part ways with Kostic
Fenerbahce have allegedly agreed a deal in principle with Juventus for Filip Kostic to make the switch to Turkey.
A buy option would also be included in the loan transfer, the Serie A side having already given the green light to a transfer.
Kostic is now in line to travel to Turkey to finalise a move to the Şukru Saracoglu Stadium, seemingly before action resumes after the September international break.
Is Kostic likely to play under Mourinho?
Mourinho's team have started the new domestic campaign in impressive fashion, accumulating 10 points from a possible 12 to leave them sitting top of the standings.
The Portuguese have been using a back four, taking away the possibility of Kostic being used as a left wing-back.
Nevertheless, the 31-year-old will expect to be used regularly further forward having featured in 66 of Juventus' 76 league games during his time in Turin.
A total of three goals and 12 assists were contributed during that period, yet it was not enough to earn the Serbia international more than 43 minutes of action at Euro 2024.
Kostic has not represented Juventus this season having seemingly been left out of the plans of new head coach Thiago Motta. body check tags ::
