Vincenzo Montella has warned his Fiorentina side that they must take more of their chances after beating Dynamo Kiev in the quarter-finals of the Europa League.
Goals from Mario Gomez and Juan Vargas in the second leg clinched a 3-1 aggregate success for the Viola, but Montella believes that life could have been much more comfortable for his players.
"The team put in a great performance with extraordinary intensity, quality and created so many chances," the Fiorentina boss told Sport Mediaset. "We didn't finish them and wasted a lot of energy to secure this qualification.
"When we play this well, it would be better to get the goals early on and not suffer to the end.
"All I have tonight is pleasure and satisfaction, as the group really deserved to get this qualification."
Fiorentina are bidding to reach the final of the competition for the first time since losing to Juventus in the 1990 UEFA Cup final.
