Fiorentina coach Vincenzo Montella has said that his team threw away three points against Inter Milan last night.
The Viola led with just over 15 minutes remaining thanks to a Giuseppe Rossi penalty, but goals from Esteban Cambiasso and Jonathan saw the Nerazzurri emerge victorious at the San Siro.
"The only thing I didn't like was the result," Montella told Sky Sport Italia. "It was a great performance with character and just as we thought we had it under control, we conceded two odd goals.
"I'll keep the performance and with it I have to keep the defeat. We carry on our principles of football against a tough opponent. We seemed to have the game in hand and a few ricochets went against us.
"It would be churlish to cling to injuries just because we lost. It was our mistake to feel as if we had the game under control and allowed Inter back into it."
The Florence-based team are fifth in Serie A after five games played.
