Former Fiorentina head coach Giovanni Trapattoni has insisted that the current side has what it takes to win the Serie A title this term.
La Viola have won the main prize on two previous occasions, but the most recent of those triumphs was in 1969.
However, having moved to the summit following yesterday's 4-1 win away at Inter Milan, Trapattoni has claimed that it is "fair to dream about the Scudetto".
"The team's performance has been superb because under (head coach) Paulo Sousa they have always been down to earth," he told Radio Bruno Toscana.
"Now the city as well as the team must not lose their humility, but I am calm because I'm sure Sousa has already figured this out. It's fair to dream about the Scudetto, and I don't see why the players shouldn't be too confident about it."
Fiorentina are top of the table for the first time since February 1999.
