Fiorentina and Napoli shared two goals and the spoils at the Stadio Artemio Franchi this afternoon.
Both the goals in this match arrived before the break, with the home side taking the lead with 33 minutes on the clock.
Facundo Roncaglia was the scorer, albeit in fortunate circumstances. Having gained possession wide on the right, the 25-year-old appeared to be attempting a cross into the area. However, he failed to connect cleanly, only to see visiting goalkeeper Morgan De Sanctis misjudge the flight of the ball as it dropped into the net.
Their lead only lasted just nine minutes though as Marek Hamsik sent over a free kick and reported Arsenal transfer target Edinson Cavani headed in to restore parity.
Chances were few and far between after the restart, with both defences getting on top.
Cavani had the best chance to score a winning goal on the hour mark, but he shot straight at Norberto Murara Neto from close range.
The draw has moved Napoli up to second in the Serie A table.
