Fiorentina have moved to within a point of fifth-placed Inter Milan thanks to a 4-1 win at the Stadio Artemio Franchi in Serie A.
Adem Ljajic headed the hosts into a 13th minute lead before Stevan Jovetic doubled their advantage before the break with his low curling effort from the edge of the box.
Jovetic made it 3-0 on 55 minutes when he capitalised on some sloppy Inter defending to fire past Samir Handanovic.
The result was put beyond doubt with just over 20 minutes to play as Ljajic netted his second goal of the game.
Antonio Cassano pulled a goal back for Inter with his long-range effort in the final minutes, but it was only a consolation on a disappointing night for the Nerazzuri.
