Fiorentina forward Stevan Jovetic has revealed that he will be signing a new contract with the club.
Speculation regarding the 22-year-old's future gathered pace during the summer transfer window, with Juventus and Manchester City reportedly leading the race for his signature.
Despite admitting that he considered offers from elsewhere, the Montenegrin said that he was eventually persuaded to stay with Viola.
"I listened to those who were looking for me and then I took the decision to stay at Fiorentina," Jovetic told La Nazione.
"I spoke to the president and realised they were setting up a great squad with important ambitions. He maintained his promises and I am happy to have maintained mine.
"My agent did not do anything wrong. He presented the offers to me and let me make the decision.
"I know we will begin negotiating with the club, but it won't be all that soon. There is no rush."
Jovetic arrived at the Stadio Artemio Franchi from Partizan Belgrade in 2008.
