Brighton & Hove Albion have reportedly joined West Ham United in the race to sign Flamengo striker Gabriel Barbosa.
The 22-year-old was strongly linked with a January move to the Hammers, who allegedly made an 18-month loan offer to sign the Brazilian with a €30m (£25m) obligation to buy.
Flamengo rebuffed West Ham's approach for Barbosa, also known as 'Gabigol', who is under contract with the Brasileiro giants until December 2024.
David Moyes remains interested in signing a striker ahead of the 2022-23 campaign, with Barbosa one of several names on his radar.
However, journalist Ekrem Konur reports on Twitter that both Brighton and Serie A outfit Atalanta BC are also keeping tabs on the 25-year-old striker.
After enduring difficult spells in Europe with Inter Milan and Benfica, Barbosa has since excelled in his native Brazil, scoring 88 goals in 128 appearances for Flamengo, including four strikes in five games at the beginning of the 2022 campaign.
