Fleetwood Town have reportedly identified midfielder Wes Hoolahan as a potential signing.
Hoolahan has spent the last 10 years with Norwich City, but the 36-year-old is now available on a free transfer after being released earlier in the summer.
The former Republic of Ireland international had been expected to move abroad, but according to Sky Sports News, Fleetwood could win the race for the veteran's signature.
The North-West outfit are now managed by Joey Barton, and the League One outfit sit in sixth place in the standings after a strong start to the campaign.
Hoolahan has spent the last eight years playing in the top two tiers of English football, with his last spell in League One coming in 2009-10.
