Forest Green Rovers owner Dale Vince has backed the club to continue their recent improvements by making another strong bid for promotion to the Football League.
Last season, Rovers finished in the top five of the National League table for the first time before losing in the playoffs, but Vince, who took charge of the club in 2010, believes that they can go one better during the upcoming campaign.
Vince told BBC Radio Gloucestershire: "I'm excited. I do expect we will improve. We have a very settled squad, four or five quality additions and goalscorers on the pitch in more abundance, we are strong at the back and we will be hard to beat.
"I like to improve everything I do, make it better than before. Promotion seemed like a very natural ambition and it must be the most natural ambition in football to get promoted."
Forest Green begin the season with a trip to Altrincham on August 8.
