Fortuna Dusseldorf are still not safe from relegation this season after Nuremberg came from behind to beat them 2-1 in the Bundesliga.
The game started in a scrappy fashion, with both sides giving away a number of free kicks in the opening 10 minutes.
Andreas Lambertz had the first real sight of goal but his shot from distance was comfortably held.
The hosts made the breakthrough in the 22nd minute as Hanno Balitsch managed to turn the ball into his own net.
Nuremberg came forward but were unable to level before the break as Robert Mak fired wide following a quick counter-attack.
Shortly after the restart Timm Klose set up Mak to fire across the keeper and into the bottom corner to make it 1-1.
Then just six minutes later the turnaround was complete as Marvin Plattenhardt fired in a free kick to put his side 2-1 up.
