Teenage defender Kurt Zouma has been called up to the senior France squad for their upcoming matches against Australia and Finland.
The 18-year-old, who was initially due to play for the Under-21 side this week, has got the call to cover any problems in the senior team, with Arsenal's Laurent Koscielny said to be suffering from a calf problem.
Zouma is yet to be capped at senior level by France but is already a mainstay for his club Saint-Etienne.
He was linked with the likes of Chelsea and Liverpool during the summer transfer window but decided to stay in France for at least another year.
France first face Australia in a friendly on Saturday before their World Cup qualifier at home to Finland on Tuesday.
