Olivier Giroud believes that France had a good World Cup qualifying campaign despite having to settle for a playoff spot.
Les Bleus breezed past Finland 3-0 on Tuesday night at Stade de France to finish second in Group I, missing out on automatic progression to holders Spain.
When taking this into consideration, Giroud feels that France can only be happy with their campaign and are on a great run of form.
"We are happy. We didn't concede, we scored three and we created chances with exciting play," Giroud told the press. "We're in good shape.
"You must not forget that it is Spain who finished above us – we still had a good campaign.
"We have great hope going forward."
Giroud will return to action for Arsenal on Saturday when they face Norwich City in the Premier League.
