Samir Nasri has claimed that France did not deserve to lose the first leg of their World Cup qualifying playoff against Ukraine on Friday.
Les Bleus saw their hopes of reaching next year's tournament dealt a severe blow as they went down 2-0 in Kiev.
However, Nasri believes that the visitors were worthy of taking something from the game ahead of next week's second leg.
"It is hard to take," the Manchester City midfielder told L'Equipe. "When you look at the game, the 2-0 win was not deserved because we had chances, me especially.
"It's going to be difficult but we still have the return leg at the Stade de France.
"We will show our more aggressive side and we will do everything we can to overturn the deficit."
France welcome Ukraine to Paris for the return leg on Tuesday.
