Freiburg attacking midfielder Max Kruse has agreed a deal to join Borussia Monchengladbach in the summer.
Kruse passed a medical on Thursday morning and signed a deal with Gladbach that will keep him at the club until the summer of 2017.
"We're really happy that Max Kruse has decided to join us," Gladbach sporting director Max Eberl told Bundesliga.de.
"He's a quick, versatile player with excellent technique, who's certainly going to give us more options up front."
Kruse has scored nine goals in 28 league appearances this season.
