Fulham are 2-1 down to Blackpool at half time, but the Tangerine will play the remainder of the game with 10 men after Tony McMahon's red card.

Blackpool are on course to record their first away win of the season after reaching half time ahead against fellow Championship strugglers Fulham.

The Tangerines, who have only picked up two points on their travels so far this season, made a perfect start when Donervon Daniels's long pass was brought down by Ishmael Miller before the forward poked the ball past Marcus Bettinelli.

Fulham, perhaps stunned by the early goal, almost fell further behind before the game reached the five-minute mark as Miller was again afforded space to shoot by the home side's defence, but this time his effort was blocked.

The Cottagers then found a response as Fernando Amorebieta crossed to Bryan Ruiz and the Costa Rican midfielder fired over from 12 yards out.

Blackpool continued to show promise in attack and Norwich City loanee Jacob Murphy unleashed an effort from distance that was only inches away from giving the Fylde club a second of the night.

Fulham then enjoyed their best period of the half as both Moussa Dembele and Hugo Rodallega had efforts saved by keeper Joe Lewis.

The Whites were made to pay for their missed opportunities as Blackpool extended their lead when Miller again ran at the home team's backline before laying the ball off to Murphy, who scored a debut goal from close range.

However, just as they appeared to have taken control of proceedings and within sight of half time, Lee Clark's side were down to 10 men after Tony McMahon was dismissed for fighting.

Fulham capitalised as Scott Parker scored for the hosts in first-half stoppage time to give Kit Symons's men hope of a comeback.
