Fulham have claimed a 1-0 victory over West London rivals Brentford in the second round of the League Cup, thanks to Ross McCormack's first goal for the club.
Tim Hoogland had the visitors' first chance of the evening when his powerful drive was saved by the keeper.
They threatened again moments later through Cauley Woodrow, who saw his attempt from inside the box saved.
On the stroke of half time Brentford almost took the lead, but Jota saw his strike come back off the post.
After the break, Chris David and Nick Proschwitz both had chances saved by the keeper, before McCormack had an effort ruled out for offside.
In the 67th minute Fulham broke the deadlock when McCormack slotted in Woodrow's pass from close range.
It proved to be enough as the Cottagers held on to book their spot in the third round.
