Genoa have confirmed the appointment of new head coach Davide Ballardini following the dismissal of Ivan Juric.
The Griffone have managed to collect just six points from their first 12 games of the new Serie A season, leading to Juric being sacked following the club's loss to Sampdoria at the weekend.
"Genoa Cricket and Football Club communicates it has passed the leadership of the first team to the coach Davide Ballardini," the club confirmed in a statement on their website.
Ballardini already has Serie A experience under his belt having managed Palermo, while the coach has also spent time with Genoa during two different stints in the past.
Genoa are now expected to unveil Ballardini at a press conference on Tuesday morning.
