Chievo have registered a 4-2 victory over Genoa away from home in Serie A, thanks to Alberto Paloschi's first ever hat-trick in the league.
The Flying Donkeys took the lead in the 14th minute when Mario Sampirisi pulled down Paloschi inside his own penalty box, and the 22-year-old made no mistake from 12 yards.
Eight minutes later Paloschi scored his second goal of the afternoon when he shot home past an onrushing Sebastien Frey.
Said Ahmed Said halved the deficit in the 40th minute with a header from an Andrea Bertolacci corner.
However, Paloschi scored his third goal of the match on the stroke of half-time when his free header got past Frey and into the Genoa net.
The home side refused to give up hope of a point and found the target in the 56th minute, Bosko Jankovic shooting home past Stefano Sorrentino with the help of a small deflection.
Chievo were reduced to 10 men in the 71st minute when Marco Andreolli was sent off for a second bookable offence.
However, Genoa failed to capitalise on their numerical advantage as Adrian Stoian found the target from close range in the final minute of normal time for the visitors from Verona.
