Germany's Joachim Low: 'I'm still motivated to win'

Germany's head coach Joachim Low insists that he is fully motivated by the prospect of glory at Euro 2016 ahead of his side's qualifier against Scotland tomorrow.

World Cup-winning Germany coach Joachim Low has said that his desire for success remains as great as ever ahead of his side's Euro 2016 qualifier against Scotland tomorrow.

Low's side were beaten 4-2 by Argentina on Wednesday in a repeat of this summer's World Cup final, but the 54-year-old is adamant that he remains motivated by the prospect of silverware at Euro 2016.

"My motivation is there completely," Low told BBC Sport.

"The motivation from me is from the inside and if I thought I wouldn't have the motivation I would quit this job. Yes, there were a few mistakes in defence in the Argentina game but we weren't really that bad. We have to close the space and concentrate over 90 minutes. Scotland have had no problems in their preparations.

"They have a British mentality but they don't play with a British style these days. They try to play good football but are still very well organised."

Germany's clash with Scotland at the Signal Iduna Park, Dortmund kicks off at 7.45pm tomorrow.
