Former Germany goalkeeper Oliver Kahn has voiced his concerns over the fitness of Manuel Neuer ahead of the World Cup.
The Bayern Munich shot-stopper, 28, has been struggling with a shoulder injury since the end of the German league season.
Despite claiming that Neuer's fitness problems will be a "huge stress" for him at the tournament in Brazil, Kahn believes that he is mature enough to understand his own body.
"It's a huge stress, this, for Manuel," he told Sport1. "Not only does he have the stress you always get from a major tournament, but he also doesn't know how his body's going to respond every day. He's got enough experience to know when he is fit."
Germany begin their World Cup campaign next Monday when they take on Portugal in Salvador.
