Germany coach Joachim Low has drafted Patrick Herrmann and Marcell Jansen into his squad for their World Cup qualifier against Kazakhstan on Tuesday.
Low has called up the two midfielders following the suspension of Bastian Schweinsteiger for the Group C game in Nuremberg and the injury to Julian Draxler on Friday against the same opponents.
Herrmann, who plays as an attacking midfielder for Borussia Monchengladbach, has yet to make his debut for Germany, while Hamburg's left-sided player Jansen last played for his country in September 2010.
Germany will head into Tuesday's game five points clear at the top of Group C.
