Former Spain international Raul has insisted that Germany are the "clear favourites" to win tonight's World Cup final.
Ordinarily, a World Cup final is too close to call, with neither side branded the overwhelming favourites.
However, following their 7-1 thrashing of hosts Brazil in the semi-finals, Raul believes that the Germans should be considered the popular choice ahead of their opponents Argentina.
"Normally, World Cup finals do not have clear favourites. This tradition has been broken in Brazil. Germany are the team to watch after their demolition of the hosts in the semi-final. They have waited for a long time for this and appear to be the best prepared lot," the 37-year-old told the Times of India.
"The three-time champions are not dependent on individuals. Everybody in their midfield is capable of scoring. The defence is not impregnable but tight, and has conceded only four goals in six matches. [Manuel] Neuer has been an inspiration under the bar."
The Germans have won seven of their of 20 meetings with the Argentinians.
