Germany forward Andre Schurrle has claimed that he is eager to make Joachim Low's starting XI against France in the World Cup quarter-finals on Friday.
The 23-year-old scored his side's first goal in the second-round clash against Algeria on Monday, which finished 2-1 to the three-time tournament champions, and he admitted that he is "fired up" ahead of the all-European tie at the Maracana.
Schurrle told BBC Sport: "I'd be delighted to have the chance to start on Friday.
"I'm really fired up. I feel good, I feel in form and I'm really glad I finally got the chance to play more in the last match."
Germany are into the last eight for the 17th time in 18 World Cup appearances.
