Germany midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger insists that there is "no pressure" on his side going into tomorrow's World Cup final against Argentina.

Germany midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger has claimed that there is "no pressure" on his side going into tomorrow's World Cup final against Argentina.

Die Mannschaft are bidding to become the first European nation to win the World Cup on South American soil having progressed to the final courtesy of a staggering 7-1 victory over hosts Brazil.

Despite having a relatively young squad, a number of Germany's players have featured in major finals at club level, and Schweinsteiger believes that such experience could prove vital.

"There's huge anticipation, but we have no pressure on us. We have lots of players among our 23-man squad who have played in finals at a high level," Schweinsteiger told reporters.

"We know how to handle things. We even have Miroslav Klose who has played in a World Cup final before, but others who have played in big finals for their clubs and have been outstanding.

"We just have to concentrate on our jobs and what makes us strong."

Netherlands and Argentina will meet at the Maracana tomorrow night in a repeat of the 1990 World Cup final, which the Germans won.
