Cameroon equalise late on to share a 2-2 draw with Germany in an international friendly at Borussia-Park.

Germany have been held to a 2-2 draw with Cameroon in their international friendly at Borussia-Park this evening.

Germany created a string of chances early on as Jerome Boateng tried to play in Mesut Ozil less than a minute into the game, while Per Mertesacker headed just over moments later.

The hosts continued to look the more likely in the first half, with Mario Gotze seeing his effort tipped onto the post.

Cameroon started to see more of the ball before the break, and had a couple of chances to take the lead through Samuel Eto'o, but could not break the deadlock before half time.

The visitors did score the opening goal of the night in the second half as Alex Song and Eto'o combined on the edge of the box before the Chelsea striker bundled the ball past Roman Weidenfeller.

The African side appeared to be in control of the match, but a quick counter-attack from Boateng allowed the midfielder to cross the ball in for Thomas Muller, who was left with an easy header from close range to level the scores after four minutes.

Joachim Low's side were able to edge ahead just a few minutes later following a run down the left from Lukas Podolski, which set up Andre Schurrle for a tap in.

The quick turnaround did not deter the visitors as they continued to push for an equaliser, and had their efforts rewarded in the 78th minute when Eric-Maxim Choupo-Moting cut inside before firing home from the edge of the area.

Eto'o tried to set up Eyong Enoh late on, but the midfielder could only fire wide in stoppage time to ensure that the sides finished level.
