Getafe have scored three first-half goals to defeat Real Betis at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez in La Liga and record their fourth win in their last five games.
The result leaves the Azulones, who remain unbeaten at home this season, fifth in the league after eight games, five points behind Villarreal.
Pedro Leon broke the deadlock with the first of his two goals in the 16th minute with a stunning free kick that dipped over the head of Guillermo Sara from all of 50 yards.
The former Real Madrid man doubled the lead in the 23rd minute with a header at the back post, before Adrian Colunga ran through on goal to lob the ball over a helpless Sara five minutes later.
Pepe Mel's side got one back early in the second half when Rafa headed Verdu's cross into his own net, but the visitors could not muster a comeback, leaving themselves in 13th place with eight points.
