Getafe have secured a narrow 2-1 win against Sevilla in this afternoon's La Liga clash at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez.
The first chance of the game fell to the hosts within the first minute, as Mehdi Lacen bore down on goal before unleashing a shot that soared high and wide.
Moments later, the visitors countered through Vicente Iborra, whose effort from outside the box was just off target.
Both sides gave a good account of themselves on the attacking front, pushing forward at every occasion, and just before the half-hour mark, Alvaro Vazquez was brought down in the box, prompting the referee to award Getafe a penalty.
The 23-year-old dusted himself off, put the ball on the spot and rifled low into the bottom left corner to put his side in front.
Sevilla went on to level proceedings in the 67th minute when Grzegorz Krychowiak burst into the box and sent a shot low into the net.
Getafe, however, were able to get back in front late on and ultimately secure all three points when Pedro Leon bundled the ball into the visitors' net from close range.
