Ghana are through to the semi-finals of the Africa Cup of Nations courtesy of a 3-0 win against Guinea this evening.
On-loan Everton winger Christian Atsu opened the scoring after just four minutes when he powered home from close range after good work from Andre Ayew and Asamoah Gyan in the build-up.
Kwesi Appiah doubled the West African side's lead just before the half-time whistle when he made the most of some poor defending to slot past the Guinea goalkeeper Brimah Razak.
Atsu claimed his second of the game just after the hour mark when he curled a superb effort into the top corner to leave the goalkeeper rooted to the spot.
Razak was dismissed in stoppage time for bringing down Gyan and Guinea were forced to play out the dying seconds with Abdoulaye Cisse in goal after they had used all three substitutions.
Ghana will now play Equatorial Guinea in the semi-final.
