Go Ahead Eagles have succumbed to a 3-1 defeat at the hands of FC Twente in this evening's Eredivisie clash at De Adelaarshorst.
The hosts opened the scoring in the 23rd minute when Wesley Verhoek made the most of Andreas Bjelland getting caught out in possession to collect the ball and fire past Nick Marsman.
Twente were level just five minutes later, however, as Dico Koppers handled the ball in the box, prompting the referee to give the visitors a penalty, which Hakim Ziyech duly converted.
The visitors ended the first half in the lead thanks to Renato Tapia's powerful effort in the 38th minute, before making sure of all the points early in the second half thanks to a second goal from the Peruvian.
Go Ahead Eagles remain second from bottom in the Eredivisie table following the result, while Twente climb to eighth.
