FC Twente have recorded their first of the Eredivisie season after beating Go Ahead Eagles 2-1 this evening.
The home side took the lead in the fourth minute when Luc Castaignos exchanged passes with Jesus Manuel Corona on the edge of the box, before firing a low strike past the keeper.
Go Ahead Eagles levelled the scores in the 22nd minute through Marnix Kolder, who reacted quickly after the defence failed to clear to smash into the net.
Corona restored Twente's lead just after the half-hour mark when he tricked his way into the box and fired an effort into the far corner.
Castaignos had the chance to score his second of the match shortly after the break from the penalty spot, but he saw his effort pushed wide by the keeper.
The visitors could not take advantage of the miss and were unable to find a way back into the game as they slumped to their third defeat of the season.
