A late own goal from Miguel Lopes denied Granada all three points from their home clash with fellow strugglers Espanyol this evening.
It seemed for a long while that the hosts were heading for a victory, despite having striker David Barral red-carded with just 28 minutes on the clock.
They went on to break the deadlock 12 minutes later through former Blackburn Rovers attacker Ruben Rochina, who pounced on a loose ball to fire in from close range.
Clear opportunities were at a premium thereafter, but the visitors from Barcelona claimed a share of the spoils in the 82nd minute when Hernan Perez's cross was turned into his own net by Granada defender Lopes.
The result has moved Granada out of the relegation zone, but only on the head-to-head record. Meanwhile, Espanyol are five points better off up in 14th position.
