Guingamp have suffered a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Nantes in this afternoon's Ligue 1 clash at the Stade du Roudourou.
Yacine Bammou was the first player to threaten as he forced a good block out of the Guingamp defence in the second minute.
Ronnie Schwartz then blasted an effort wide from 35 yards in the 14th minute, but the first half largely belonged to Nantes, as they bore down on the hosts' goal time and time again.
The Canaries broke the deadlock in the 33rd minute when Georges N'Koudou fired a vicious effort from outside the box into the top right corner of the net.
Guingamp set about trying to find an equaliser, with Schwartz registering several attempts on goal, but the visitors hung on to the lead going in at the break.
It proved a different story in the second half as the home side pressed forward at every opportunity, with Younousse Sankhare and Sambou Yatabare in particular threatening Remy Riou's clean sheet.
Nevertheless, Nantes were able to hang onto their unanswered one-goal lead and secure all three points.
