Macclesfield Town have managed to keep the scoreline goalless against Halifax Town at Moss Rose.
The opening 15 minutes at Moss Rose were scrappy with neither side managing to gain a foothold in the match, but Halifax player Paul Marshall did fire an effort over the crossbar from long range.
The stalemate continued as Macclesfield matched the Shaymen in every department but their defence was required to make timely blocks from both Lois Maynard and Matty Pearson.
As the game reached the half-hour mark, Halifax were beginning to make inroads in the final third, but Macclesfield managed to keep them at bay as Rhys Taylor pulled off a pair of saves to deny Pearson.
Macclesfield's Waide Fairhurst finally tested the visitor's goal in added-on time, but the home side will need to improve after the break if they are to earn a result against one of the league's in-form teams.
