Martin Canning will hold a red-card inquest in a bid to help Hamilton help themselves.
Striker Mickel Miller will miss the trip to St Johnstone in the Ladbrokes Premiership this weekend after being sent off in the closing stages of Saturday’s 1-0 home win over Livingston.
Midfielder Dougie Imrie missed that match having trangressed in the previous match, a 3-0 defeat at Aberdeen.
Attacker Steven Boyd was sent off in the game before against Kilmarnock while skipper Darian MacKinnon missed two matches after having a yellow card in the 1-1 draw upgraded to a red, all of which is irking boss Canning.
The former Accies defender said: “We are going to have a chat about that.
“It is not so much about the timing of the red cards. We are not feeling the effect in the game that is being played because two of them were in injury time and one of them was in the last couple of minutes of the game.
“It is not the impact on that game but we are losing good players for the following games which are all big games and we can’t afford that.
“Maybe you maybe need to take that second yellow late in the game once a season for one player because you have just got to do it, to save a goal or whatever it may be, but that shouldn’t happen three times, four times in a week and half.
“It is something we have to be conscious of.
“I am asking them to compete for every ball, you have to challenge for everything but you have to manage the game.”
