Steven Boyd has ended any worries about his Hamilton future by signing a new two-year deal with the Ladbrokes Premiership side.
The 21-year-old forward is a graduate of the club's academy and a former Scotland youth international.
Having previously had loan spells at Albion Rovers and latterly with Livingston, Boyd has forced his way into Martin Canning's plans this season and is pleased to get the chance to progress further.
"I am delighted to get another two years under my belt," he said of the new contract which was announced on Tuesday night.
"It is a worry off my mind and I can just concentrate on the football side now.
"For myself, it is about getting a consistent run of games and scoring as many goals as I can and for Accies, it is to finish as high as possible and stay in the league.
"I started off the season alright then hit a lull but now it is about more game time and goals."
