Brentford remain third in League One after failing to beat relegated Hartlepool United at Victoria Park.
The visitors started brightly and created a chance inside the first minute but Bradley Wright-Phillips's effort from just outside the box went over.
Then away goalkeeper Simon Moore was called into action to keep out an effort from Simon Walton.
In the 24th minute relegated Hartlepool went ahead with Luke James firing low into the corner after being found by Jack Baldwin.
However, the lead did not last until the break as Marcello Trotta pounced on 38 minutes to fire Brentford level.
In the second half Brentford started to get on top and Trotta was denied a second by Scott Flinders in the Hartlepool goal.
Jonathan Douglas could have snatched all three points for the Londoners but his shot went over when well placed late on.
