Heerenveen have ended an eight-match winless run in the Eredivisie with a 2-0 victory over NAC Breda.
Mark Uth scored in either half at the Rat Verlegh Stadion this evening to earn the visitors a first win since they shocked leaders PSV Eindhoven in September.
Second-from-bottom Breda themselves have been in poor form, but avoided a fifth consecutive defeat by beating Cambuur 1-0 last Saturday.
The familiar losing feeling returned this week, though, as Uth linked up with strike partner Luciano Slagveer to open the scoring on 36 minutes.
The German forward secured Heerenveen the points on 62 minutes when he converted Kenny Otigba's cross for his 11th goal of the season.
Dwight Lodeweges's side climb four places to eighth in the table, while Breda continue to struggle in 17th.
