Heerenveen and ADO Den Haag played to a goalless draw in their Eredivisie meeting at Abe Lenstra Stadion this evening.
The visitors had a chance to open the scoring around 15 minutes in when Mathias Gehrt's corner found Gianni Zuiverloon, but the defender could only head wide.
Marten de Roon had the best chance of the first half for Heerenveen when he attempted to blast the ball in from a free kick just outside the box, but Robert Zwinkels got across to get a hand to it.
Zwinkels had to remain alert as Mark Uth tried to turn the ball in from a Joey van der Berg through-ball, but the Den Haag keeper had it covered.
The hosts created the majority of the chances early in the second half, but Zwinkels continued to frustrate Heerenveen.
Mike van Duinen had a chance to steal all three points for the visitors late on when Mitchell Schet crossed the ball in for the striker, but Kristoffer Nordfeldt made the save.
Danny Bakker won a free kick deep into stoppage time, but his strike was blocked by the wall before Van Duinen fired the rebound over.
The result leaves the team ninth in the table, while Den Haag climb out of the relegation zone.
