Notts County have headed into half time level with Huddersfield Town after coming from a goal down in the first half of their League Cup first-round tie at the John Smith's Stadium.
It was Jon Stead who had the first clear-cut chance of the night less than five minutes after kickoff, attempting to head in at the near post as County won an early corner, but his effort was comfortably saved.
Roy Carroll was tested down the other end just a couple of minutes later as Harry Bunn unleashed a powerful drive from long range, but the goalkeeper did enough to tip it over.
The visitors continued to look lively as Stanley Aborah sprinted forward, sending a low cross in for the unmarked Kyle de Silva, but he hurried his finish and sliced it wide.
Huddersfield soon started to dominated the match as Ishmael Miller rounded a couple of defenders before seeing his shot kept out by Carroll, before Jason Davidson saw the keeper parry his free kick clear.
The home side's dominant spell resulted in the Championship club breaking the deadlock as Bunn curled the ball in from a corner, picking out the unmarked Murray Wallace, who headed in unchallenged.
However, the lead was short-lived as De Silva sprinted down the right shortly before the break to set up Liam Noble, who blasted the ball into the bottom corner from the edge of the box.
