David Wagner "confident" ahead of Bristol City visit

Huddersfield Town manager David Wagner says that he is 'confident' of turning around the club's poor form.

Huddersfield Town manager David Wagner has revealed that he is "confident" of achieving a positive result when Bristol City visit the John Smith's Stadium on Saturday.

The Terriers enjoyed a strong start to the season and occupied the automatic promotion places until October, but a dramatic downturn in form has seen them drop down to eighth place, 10 points behind league leaders Newcastle United.

Wagner's side last picked up a league win on October 22, but the German believes that a confident performance will help them to all three points when Lee Johnson's men visit tomorrow.

"I have no worries over the confidence and self-belief of my players," Wagner told the Huddersfield Examiner. "There is no reason to be less confident, have less trust or less self-belief. Our performances have been too strong for this.

"It's a case of making right the little details, for example in using some of the many chances we are creating. We also need that little bit of luck to win games - but as I said before, you have to work to be a lucky man, and these players are working hard.

"[Bristol] will give us a challenge. They are good on offence, have good individual quality and a good idea of how they want to play the game. They are a very interesting side to play against. We have to create a plan, put it in he players' heads and make sure they bring it to the pitch and that our fans can see what the plan is."

Town could go as high as fourth in the table with a win over the Robins.
