Hull City manager Steve Bruce has praised his side's clean sheet in their 2-0 Premier League win against Crystal Palace this afternoon.
Second-half goals by Mohamed Diame and Nikica Jelavic were enough to seal three points for the Tigers at the KC Stadium.
Bruce told reporters after the game: "It was an important result for us because it has been so unlike us in recent weeks to let leads slip and concede goals.
"We've had success by being resolute and difficult to beat. So the clean sheet pleased me because we have worked hard and gone back to a tried and tested 3-5-2 system, and it worked.
"We have some tough games coming up against Arsenal and Liverpool, which is an awful run of games, but that's the league we are in. It is important to get to the amount of points we have, though we could have been in a far better position."
Hull City currently sit eighth in the Premier League table.
